mcbw - Munich Creative Business Week
Munich, Germany
Mon 4. May 2026

I’m beyond excited to be speaking at Munich Creative Business Week, Germany’s biggest design event.

Creativity starts with self-belief – in yourself, in others, and in the process. I feel our creative spark is at its shiniest when we’re doing something we don’t have to do: having fun, experimenting, trying something new. The trick is building those micro-passions into your everyday, to re-energise yourself.

Join me on Monday 4th May as we open a week of events around this year’s theme, Playground of Possibilities.

Explore everyday with inspiration and wonder - 1 hour workshop with Emmi Salonen.

When wonder fades, the world can feel flat — every day a repeat of the last. In this playful, uplifting session, Emmi Salonen will help you rediscover your sense of curiosity and reignite your creative spark.

In this session you’ll explore what lights you up, identify the “wonder drains” dulling your spark, and design a personal wonder ritual to carry into your week. You’ll leave with tools to: spot where wonder already exists in your everyday life and sustain creative energy through Emmi’s Creative Ecosystem model.

The theme for DesignThinkers 2026 is "Out of Office." Stepping away from your desk allows for creative freedom. When we’re free to roam, we discover and document visuals with no agenda.

There is a creative liberation that comes from being ‘offline’. A celebration of the wild, the unexpected and the thinkers who don’t fit the mould.
